The secret to getting a Disney World discount is to look into “Parkhopper” tickets. To get the most from your vacation, you can purchase 3, 5, 6, 7 or 10-day passes that allow you to go from one park to the next at your leisure. That way, if you miss a few attractions at one park, you can go back and hit them, without having to “kill time” there, or you can catch all your favorite rides again before you leave.
Walt Disney described his first park: “Disneyland is often called a magic kingdom because it combines fantasy and history, adventure and learning, together with every variety of recreation and fun designed to appeal to everyone.” After building a successful park in sunny California, he set his sights on Orlando, Florida, where he would build not just a park, but an empire called Disney World. “Disney will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world,” Walt added. In fact, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is currently working on a new section of the park focused around dragons, trolls and medieval lore. Toy Story Mania and American Idol are set to open in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Spaceship Earth ride received a makeover for 2008.
Many Disney vacation deals can be found online. For instance, United Vacations is offering a $200 Disney gift card with the purchase of a 5-night or longer flight and hotel package. Additionally, guests can purchase discount park passes. Timeshares often offer free Disneyworld tickets if you’re willing to spend a morning listening to their sales presentation. Of course, there’s no obligation to buy, but not everyone will feel comfortable with the situation. OrlandoThemeParks.com has deep discounts, for example.
Disney World doesn’t just end when you leave the park. Most people opt to immerse themselves into the Disney magic by staying at one of the Walt Disney World resorts. Guests at the Contemporary will be glad they stayed within the park when they hop on the in-house monorail that takes them directly to any park, at almost any time! Guests at the Animal Kingdom Lodge will enjoy early morning walks where they can see giraffes, zebras and flamingos right from their rooms! Guests staying at the Polynesian resort can enjoy adding a luau dinner to their experience. These are just a few of the many Disney resorts, but you’ll find that each one has its own hint of magic!
In addition to Disney World amusement park attractions at four separate areas, Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, you can also visit nightlife like Pleasure Island or Downtown Disney, with their multitude of clubs, concerts, Disney restaurants and shops. You may even want to schedule some downtime to watch a breath-taking Cirque du Soliel performance or book a massage after a long travel. Walt Disney once said, “It’s no secret that we were sticking just about every nickel we had on the chance that people would really be interested in something totally new and unique in the field of entertainment.” From the moment you set eyes on the park, you realize they really have spared no expense in the creation of this paradise.
